This is a large oak dining table with some wonderfully waney edges and a resin river (or maybe it's more of a stream compared to the size of the table!).
Made from, one large piece of oak found at a timber yard, it is unique and looks absolutely stunning with really strong grain and medullary shining through, complimenting the character of the waney edges. It easily fits 8 people around it, 10 at a push.
I have made a resin river at one end of the table, I didn't fill the crack all the way to the top to make it flush with the top of the table because i loved the shape of the wood there and it remind me of a river running through a canyon.
Finished with a clear, hard-wearing semi-gloss glaze to give it just enough shine while letting the natural beauty of the wood shine through.
Steel box-hairpin legs with a black powder cost finish create an elegant contemporary look while being incredibly strong.
